5th Grade_archive

The fifth grade students used these beetles as a way to learn about texture and value.  They were challenged to use value to help convey the texture of something bumpy, shiny, and furry.  We talked about how there are many varieties of legs shapes, body shapes, wings, antennas, etc.  Using real beetles as inspiration, they created their own species of bug.  They drew everything with white colored pencil on black paper.
