The second grade students flexed their imaginations to create these shape robots. We began by reading ROBO-SAUCE by Adam Rubin. It is the story of a boy who drinks robo-sauce to turn into a real robot. We drew our robots together using crayon, choosing shapes for the head, arms, buttons, etc. as we went. To complete the project, we filled in our work using colorful tempera paints.
