Lighthouses

The second grade students painted lighthouses.  We talked about why we have them, and where they are typically found.  We also talked about the way that they look and what the different parts do.  Using real lighthouses as our inspiration, students got creative.  They included all of the traditional pieces, but added their personal touch with colors and fun backgrounds.
