Fauvist Portraits

For their silent auction project, the 5th graders made these fauvist portraits.  They each began using crayons, colored pencils, or markers to create an abstract background.  Then, they colored a black and white picture of themselves in the fauvist style.  We glued their pictures to their backgrounds and color copied each one.  The shrunken versions were tiled together to create a colorful group portrait.
