Dragon Eyes

This project focused on texture and value.  We began by outlining the eye and eyelid.  Then, we talked about using value (tints, shades, and highlights) to make the eyeball look realistic. Each student chose 3 different shades of the same color.  We discussed how to blend these colors to seamlessly go from dark to light. Once their eyeball was colored in, they went back with white highlights to bring them to life.  The next class was all about creating texture on the skin.  We discussed how to draw the scales, and again used value to make them realistic.
