The first grade students made these paper mache ice cream sundaes. They began with bowls made from recycled cereal boxes, and covered them in paper mache. While those dried, they created scoops of ice cream from balls of newspaper and aluminum foil. The next class, they picked their ice cream flavors, and covered their scoops in white, pink, brown, or mint colored paper. For their toppings, they could choose between whipped cream made from glue and shaving cream, brown paint chocolate sauce, confetti sprinkles, and pompom cherries. The finished products looked good enough to eat.
