Foil Relief Hearts

3rd Grade_archive

The third grade students created these foil relief hearts using glue, cardboard, and yarn.  They began by drawing their design then pencil on a 5×5 in. piece of cardboard.  Then, they glued pieces of yarn over their design.  They wrapped the entire thing in aluminum foil, and gently pressed down.  Slowly, the yarn relief began to show through.  To emphasize the designs, they added pops of color with permanent markers.
