Tooth Fairies

In honor of the many missing teeth in the first grade, the students made these tooth fairies. We began class reading Andrew’s Loose Tooth by Robert Munsch.  It is the story of a little boy who cannot get his loose tooth to come out.  The tooth fairy, who comes to help on a motorcycle, can’t even get it out.  This got us thinking, what does the tooth fairy really look like?  Robert Munsch imagines her on a motorcycle, but how do we imagine her (or him)? We talked about ideas in class and got to work.  Some imagined tiny fairies, others used rocket boosters or a cape to fly.
