Monoprints

The pre-kindergarten students made these monoprints using aluminum foil, black tempera paint, and q-tips. We started by evenly covering a piece of foil with black tempera paint. Then, the students drew designs into the paint with q-tips. They removed paint so that any foil showing through would print white. When their design was complete, we laid down a piece of paper, and pressed gently with our finger tips to transfer the image. Each design resulted in one print. One print = monoprint.
